| QE2 Farewell visit: 5 October 2008 will see the QE2 visiting the Clyde, where she was born. This will be a poignant time for the residents of this area as it marks her final visit before she move to Dubai as a floating hotel. Her send off is sure to be spectacular and not to be missed. |

| Tall Ships 2011: Inverclyde will again be playing host to the Tall Ships in 2011. The memories of the last time Inverclyde played this role endure to this day.
